Required dress rehearsals at CIAOD Studio (Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your scheduled rehearsal time. We will try our best to be on time but delays could occur.)

Showcase and costume fees are due to January 15th

Important Showcase Information

  • Please arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled rehearsal time
  • Prepare your child in their make-up and 1st costume according to the schedule
  • CIDE Company Dancers will take a warm-up class at 12:30 (prior to show)
  • Make sure your child warms up and has a good meal prior to the show
  • All Dancers must arrive at Carmel High School ½ hour before the show
  • Shoes & tights are the responsibility of the dancer
  • Make-up should be glamorous. Earth tone eye shadow, black mascara, blush & red lipstick
  • Hair should be in a bun and secure. No Bangs
  • Jewelry is not to be worn. Please leave all valuables at home.
  • No food or drink is allowed in the auditorium
  • No food or drink is to be brought into the dressing rooms
  • No Flash Photography is allowed at any time. It could be hazardous to the dancers
  • Video recording and photography is allowed during the dress rehearsal ONLY.
  • Dancers will be assigned a dressing room. Parents should remain in the theatre until their dancer is finished. Please let your dancer know that you will drop them off and return to pick them up. We will have staff supervising the students.
  • On the day of the show you may pick up your dancer after they perform and return to the theater to enjoy the rest of the performance.

Attendance

It is very important to attend all scheduled rehearsals in order for each child to feel comfortable in their costumes and on the stage. A missed rehearsal could result in the dancer being removed from the showcase piece. Good attendance is required to participate in the Showcase.

Photographer & Video

A professional photographer will be available at the CIAOD studio. In the spring, more information will be available at the studio about appointment times and scheduling. The showcase will be recorded professionally and DVD’s will be available for purchase.

Flowers

Flower orders will be available pre-order or sold in the lobby on the day of the show. The proceeds from the sales will benefit the Central Indiana Dance Ensemble. Please help to support our resident company.

Shoes and Tights

All shoes and tights should be clean and free of any rips, tears, runs or stains.

  • Ballet Shoes: Beginning & Creative Movement, Pre-Ballet & Ballet 1 & 2 Bloch 205
  • Ballet Shoes: Ballet Levels 3-6 Bloch S0203
  • Ballet (all levels) require Block 936 tights
  • Tap Levels 1-3: Tan Mary Jane & Bloch light tan tights
  • Intermediate Tap: Any style Tan Tap shoe & Bloch light tan tights
  • Advanced Tap: Any style Black Tap shoe & Bloch light tan tights
  • Jazz: Clean tan slip on booties & Bloch light tan tights
