Welcome to Central Indiana Academy of Dance, Carmel and the surrounding Indianapolis area’s leading classical ballet institution and home of the Central Indiana Dance Ensemble. We are proud of our academy’s dedicated professional faculty as well as our many successes, including students who have gone on to dance professionally with Dayton Ballet, Milwaukee Ballet II, Minnesota Ballet, Nashville Ballet II, North Carolina Dance Theatre II and Pacific Northwest Ballet and study at such prestigious universities and schools as Butler University, Indiana University, Point Park University, The Ailey School/Fordham University, University of Cincinnati, University of Utah, School of American Ballet and The Joffrey Ballet School.

  • Coppélia Auditions

    Central Indiana Dance Ensemble will be having open auditions for Coppélia this Saturday, January 14th At Central Indiana Academy of Dance.

    Dancers must be at least level 3A to participate in this production.

    There is a $10 audition fee (cash only) for non-CIDE company dancers.

    Please arrive 30 minutes prior to the audition call times to fill out paperwork and have measurements taken.

    The Coppélia audition schedule is as follows:

    1:30 - 2:15 Levels 6, 7, & 8 en pointe 2:15 - 2:45 Levels 4 & 5 not en pointe 2:45 - 3:15 Levels 3A & 3B

    Dancers will need to be available for rehearsals on Saturdays beginning the 1st week in February through the performances on May 19th.

    There will also be mandatory rehearsals on May 12th and 18th

  • CIDE honored to have dancer featured in Indianapolis City Ballet's Young Stars of Ballet

    Central Indiana Dance Ensemble and Central Indiana Academy of Dance are thrilled to announce that one of their own, Hannah Sink, will be featured in a solo at the Indianapolis City Ballet’s Young Stars of Ballet performance this Friday evening at Murat Theatre at the Old National Centre.
